ANA, AMA, AHA seek repeal of federal order on bias training
The American Nurses Association, American Medical Association and the American Hospital Association urged the Trump administration to repeal an executive order that says racial and sexual bias are not factors in health care and limits training by federal contractors about implicit racial bias. The order would “stifle attempts at open, honest discussion of these issues in the public and private sectors. Prohibiting federal agencies from conducting and funding training that promote racial reconciliation is counterproductive to addressing racism,” the groups wrote in a letter to the administration.
