WCN Accomplishments

Nurses Respond Now – During the COVID pandemic, it was determined that nurses need additional training to assist and respond to vulnerable populations during a public health crisis. WCN in partnership with the National Registered Nurse Practice Development Center created training for nurses to better assist their patients.

• Each year WCN puts on the WCN Conference with speakers that address current healthcare issues and attract attendees from around the region.  During COVID, WCN effectively continued the annual conference with a virtual platform.

• Surveys and Reports are developed and produced every year to assess, plan and develop the nursing workforce. This includes RN & LPN Surveys & Reports, Faculty & Education Survey Reports, a Wisconsin RN Supply & Demand Forecast, and more.  The studies, surveys, and reports show trends.  And help develop questions and answers to future healthcare needs in Wisconsin and the nation.

• WCN Social Media, (Facebook & Instagram) stays current with healthcare issues and events in the Wisconsin healthcare community.
