The Marquette College of Nursing has received a Healthcare Simulation Standards Endorsement from the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation, a leading health care simulation professional association.
Marquette is one of just 40 institutions worldwide to obtain INACSL’s endorsement.
INACSL has recognized Marquette’s excellence in the organization’s four cornerstone standards: pre-briefing, debriefing, facilitation and professional integrity. This endorsement is valid for three years.
“Our simulations are rooted in evidence-based methods that ensure students receive the best possible preparation for practice,” says Simulation Director Anne Costello. “We are grateful to INACSL for this endorsement and look forward to upholding the high standards for which our college is known.”
The new Ascension Center for Clinical Simulation and Learning is located on the third floor of David A. Straz, Jr., Hall. It includes four open-space clinical skills labs, six simulation rooms and outpatient exam rooms, among other spaces. Students and instructors began using the space in August.
